Greek Flotilla Prices 2010

The Greek flotilla is based from Nidri on Lefkas Island in the southern Ionian. This flotilla is a joint venture between Activity Yachting Holidays and ABC, a local specialist with whom we work as partners, and have done so for many years. You join the yacht from 1700hrs onwards on the first Sunday afternoon, sleep that night on the yacht and then sail as part of a flotilla from the Monday morning. The yacht then returns to the home port the following Saturday afternoon, after a full six days sailing, you sleep that last Saturday night on board and then depart by 0900 hrs on the Sunday morning.  Anybody having a two week  flotilla holiday can either choose to return with us or to have some free sailing over the middle weekend, before joining the rest of the group the following week.

Yachts available are either those from the ABC fleet which form the core of the flotilla, as well as yachts that we bring in from local Bareboat suppliers, and which form our Bareboat-Flotilla fleet, and range from 30 to 44ft. Bareboat-Flotilla yachts are generallly also based from Nidri, or the immediate surrounding ports, although on occasion yachts based from Lefkas can also be arranged on request.

All flotilla yacht prices are quoted and paid for in Euros, with a sterling price list also available for yachts from the ABC fleet for UK residents that are paying directly in the UK. Please use the above tabs to select the relevant currency and please note the following which applies to all yachts

• All prices are per yacht per week for the given dates, irrespective of the numbers on board. We no longer operate a per person, flight inclusive price as standard. There is now a good range of flights to Preveza, the local airport, which if you book directly yourselves can often involve considerable savings on your overall holiday cost compared to a flight inclusive package. This flexibility is also for people that may not be flying directly to the local airport, but just having a weeks sailing as part of some independant travelling around Greece.

• We can still provide full ATOL bonded flight inclusive packages (from the UK only) for anybody wanting flights using scheduled or charter flights, but we cannot normally offer this with the Low Cost Airlines like Ryan Air, Easy Jet etc whose business models only allow for bookings made directly on their own web sites.

• For any packages booked that do not include flights, all payments to Activity Yachting Holidays are fully protected by means of a Trust Account arrangement , in accordance with the Package Travel, Package Holidays and Package Tours Regulations 1992.

• Mooring and marina fees must be paid as you go along, but generally there are minimal or no charges unless you decide to free sail and stay in Lefkas Marina, the only serviced marina in this part of Greece. Mooring in the evenings then tends to be on town quays or on local pontoons, and in peak season can be very busy. Because of this unless you are prepared to go in to port early in the afternoon you will find that in busier ports that often the boats will raft up in the bay. The best winds in this area are often mid to late afternoon so doing this allows you to have the best of the sailing. In the ports in the evening you will normally find showers available locally and the charge is generally around 2€ a head. Fresh water can also be obtained in a number of ports and if you have rafted off the previous evening, you just need to go on the quay to take water the following morning.

• 220v Shore power is not available in any of the ports, but if you need to charge camera batteries etc, you can always ask do this in local restaurants if you are eating there in the evening. All yachts however have car type cigarette lighter sockets for using 12v chargers.

In addition to the above, the following must be paid in cash on arrival on site, to cover the security deposit waiver, port paperwork, gas, end cleaning and fuel.

• 31ft yachts £95 for one week and £115 for two week charters.

• 33ft and over £115 for one week and £140 for two weeks.

• Deposit is 30% of the yacht charter cost and the balance is then due 10 weeks before the holiday commences. Payment by credit card will incur a 1.5% surcharge on the above prices.

• Outboard engine if required is £50 for one week and £75 for two weeks.

• There is a 5% discount for family groups for July and August bookings, and an additional 5% discount for bookings made before 31/01/10

• There are no additional on site cash payments for the above yachts, but a refundable security deposit as indicated in the right hand column (in euros) must be left on site for every charter. A non refundable insurance option of 100 to 150€ per week is also available for some yachts, with details available on request.

• Fuel is not included and all yachts must be brought back with a full tank.The booking deposit varies between 30% & 50%of the yacht charter cost and the balance is then due 10 weeks before the holiday commences. Payment by credit card will incur a1.5% surcharge on the above prices.

• Outboard engine if required is 60€ per week.

This list is for yachts from our in house fleet.  These yachts are totally managed by us and only ever  sail as part of one of our flotillas.  They range from our classic two cabin 31 footers (older models but in good condition and kept at keen prices) to our newer three cabin 33 and 35/36 footers.  These yachts offer the best prices.
